Only Have 6 Runners? The Blind Date Option Is for You! If filling a full team of 12 feels overwhelming — or you’ve only got 6 runners ready to go — the Blind Date Option makes it easy. Simply register your 6-person (1 van) Blind Date Team, and we’ll match you with another “Blind Date” team in the spring, to create a full relay crew without the stress of finding all the runners yourself.
Volunteer / Donation Requirements— Choose 1 of the following
- Supply Your Own Volunteer – Provide 2 volunteers who are available any time Friday or Saturday to work a 6-8 hour shift out on the course. Volunteers can be assigned to a morning, afternoon, evening or overnight shift on either day. We do our best to assign volunteers based on locality (i.e. if your volunteers live near the start, we will try not to assign them an assignment near the finish); however, we can not guarantee volunteer shifts or locations. (*Ultra & Blind Date Teams provide 1 Volunteer) .
- Hire-a-Volunteer (HAV) – Donate $400 ($200 per volunteer) so that we can partner with local charities and community groups who will volunteer on the course. 100% of your funds are donated to these worthy organizations. (*Ultra & Blind Date Teams provide 1 Volunteer).
- HAV Option is Now Limited to 75 Teams. If your team depends on this service, don’t wait! Due to limited availability and challenges securing enough volunteers through our charity partners, we’re capping the Hire-a-Volunteer program at the first 75 teams who opt in. Reserve your spot now before they’re gone!
* Switching to the Hire-a-Volunteer program less than 30 days before the event will incur a minimum fee of $100. Space in the program is very limited, and any openings depend on the availability of our incredible charity partners.

If you choose to support the “Hire a Volunteer” (HAV) program, Cascade Relays Foundation will email you an invoice for your donation fee within 2-3 weeks of registration. Payment can be made by check or credit card (3% processing fee applies).
