Bend Beer Chase

Experience delicious brews and epic views as you embark on this 57 mile, action-packed relay. This isn’t just a race – it’s an adventure you’ll be talking about for years.

EXCITING UPDATES– The Startline is now in Drake Park, and The Friday Packet-Pick-up Party is @ Bend Brewing Company!

Sip Central Oregon, one mile at a time

The Bend Beer Chase is a six-person running relay spanning approximately 57 miles over one epic day. Consisting of 12 legs of varying distance (4-8 miles per leg), each runner on the team runs two legs.

The course kicks off along the Iconic Deschutes River in downtown Bend’s Drake Park, winding its way through scenic trails and rural back roads to Redmond and back. Runners finish where they started—with a riverside beer festival in the heart of Bend at the iconic Drake Park. Throughout the course, local breweries host exchange points where participants sample craft brews, and at the Finish Line, with 20 beers on tap, runners can raise a full pint from their favorite brewery in celebration.

EXCITING UPDATES:

How it works

  • Pick a distance option – are you in for the full Beer Chase, or more of a Keg Leg person? We love either option!

If you’re registered for the full Bend Beer Chase, you get an automatic entry into the Keg Leg. If you’re not up for the full relay, you can register just for the Keg Leg separately!

  • Gather up your favorite people!

If you’re doing the full Bend Beer Chase, you’ll need a team of 1 – 6 people. The less people you have, the more running/walking each person will do to complete the full 12 legs of the 57 mile relay. So on a 6-person team, each person runs 2 legs; On a 3-person team, each person runs 4 legs, etc. You’re free to split up the legs however your team sees fit!

If you’re doing the keg leg, no team is required. It’s just you and 1.5 miles of walking or running and definitely beer drinking. Feel free to do this with friends, but you don’t need to be a formal team.

Short on friends? No problem! We can match you to a team and help you make some new (cooler) ones.

  • 🔥 Step up to the captain’s plate! 🔥

Be the hero your friends didn’t know they needed and register a team for the legendary Bend Beer Chase! 🏃‍♂️🍻 Experience delicious brews and epic views as you embark on this 57-mile, action-packed relay.

Gather up to five friends and dive headfirst into this frothy adventure! You’ll be the one they toast to, the one they thank for the epic memories, and the one who made it all happen! 💪 So, don your cape, assemble your team, and get ready for an unforgettable weekend.

  • The Bend Beer Chase relay can be as competitive or relaxed an experience as you want. If you’re in it to win it, we love that! If you’re just here to have fun with your friends, hang out, meet people, drink beer, etc., we love that too!

Either way, some running or walking fitness will likely make your experience a bit better, especially if you’ve signed yourself up for some longer legs. But hey… what do we know. Wherever you fall on the party to competitive racer spectrum, you are welcome here.

  • Just signed up your Beer Chase Team? Bottoms up, the fun ride commences! The countdown to the starting line is like the appetizer before the feast – gear up, crank up those playlists, and get hyped for the adventure ahead. And hey, you’re not solo in this! Post-registration, we’re your wingman, loading you with resources for glory and guiding you to triumph. From team tactics to nailing your race (and attire) game, consider us your secret weapon.

Strap on those kicks, rehearse your team chants (and tunnel dashes), and brace yourself for a relay like no other!
