Cascade Lakes Relay

June 23 & June 24, 2023

Bend, OR

Event Info

Registration is now open!

Oregon’s most challenging running relay course starts in the Cascade Mountains at Diamond Lake Resort, travels through the Oregon Outback and rural agricultural country, and winds back to the Cascade Lakes Highway, around Mt. Bachelor and into the resort community of Bend. You’ll see more cows than semi-trucks and smell pine trees instead of exhaust. If you are seeking an adventure where you can push your limits and rediscover your senses, then this is the event for you and your team.  Cascade Lakes Relays offers something for everyone with 3 events: CLR 36, CLR 24 and the Walk Relay.

NO REGISTRATION LOTTERY WILL BE HELD FOR CLR 2023.  REGISTRATION WILL REMAIN OPEN UNTIL FULL.

216.6 MILES  ~  36 LEGS  ~  12 RUNNERS

OVERNIGHT RELAY *  DIAMOND LAKE TO BEND

JUNE 23RD – 24TH, 2023

CLR 36 is the full Cascade Lakes Relay 216.6 mile course from Diamond Lake to Bend.  Teams of 12 (or even 6 or 8) runners take turns running “legs” – shorter segments of 3 to 9 miles that link together at exchange points. A total of 36 legs comprise the Cascade Lakes Relay.  For a team of 12, that means each individual will run three times. Total mileage for each runner averages around 18 miles. Ultra teams, or those with less than 12 members, will run anywhere from 4 to 6 legs. It takes teams between 22 hours and 38 hours to complete the 216.6 mile course.

The 2023 Course Map will be available In Spring 2023. In the meantime, please refer to the 2022 map.
